Meet the Brooklyn Players Staff
 
Aya Kato BiographyCorinne Goodman, Founder and Director of Brooklyn Players, is a professional singer and has been a professional dancer.  She has been a life-long educator, having taught children and adults from Pre-K through college for over 35 years.  Corinne taught music in the NYC public schools for ten years, taught voice to adults at The Guitar Study Center at The New School for Social Research, and has directed countless productions and concerts with young people.
 
 
Kalle Macrides BiographyKalle Macrides, after-school Theater Co-Teacher, and Assistant Show and Program Director of Brooklyn Player's summer program, has been with Brooklyn Players since 2002.  She has her B.A. in Theater Arts from Sarah Lawrence and a Masters in Performance Studies from NYU.  She currently is a student in the Masters of Arts in Creative Writing with a focus in Playwriting at Brooklyn College.  In addition to her work at Brooklyn Players, Kalle has been working as a drama arts and playwriting teacher for many years in the NYC public schools, is a professional performing actor in New York City, and is Executive Director of the  Adhesive Theater Project .
 
 
Aya Kato BiographySilvan Carlson-Goodman, summer program Sports and Playground Teacher, has been a participant at Brooklyn Summer Players since 2002, was a C.I.T. in 2005, a Junior Counselor in 2006, and joined the staff as the Sports Teacher in 2007.  Silvan is graduating from The Brooklyn Free School this year, is currently a member of the Amas Musical Theater Teen Arts Academy, and is currently applying to colleges to major in writing for telelvision and radio.  After a younger childhood of difficulty with team sports, he prides himself on figuring out how to get even the most reluctant Brooklyn Summer Player playing in his group games out on the playground.
 
 
Jennifer Kirschman BiographyJennifer Kirschman, summer program Costume Designer since 2006, did her training at Parsons School of Design, and has been costume designing since 2002 in independent film and theater in Los Angeles and New York with both adults and young people.
 
 
 
Aya Kato BiographyAya Kato, summer program Piano Accompanist, joined us in the summer of 2007 and will be returning for summer 2008.  Aya is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and a gifted pianist, composer and arranger of everything from jazz to children's music to rock 'n roll.  Check out her "Sushi Song" on  myspace.com/ayakato .
 
 
Erica Camarano BiographyErica Camarano.  We are delighted to welcome Erica for Summer 2008 as our dance teacher and choreographer.  Erica has her BA in theater and dance from Hunter College and has also trained with Shakespeare and Company.  She was a member of the Rosetta Lenoire Musical Theater Academy for two years.
